Recent events are forcing big business to respond to business relations with the Russian Federation. A number of companies, such as Apple , AMD and Intel , have already officially announced the termination of product deliveries to Russia. The Japanese company Panasonic today joined the list of these companies, the list of which will increase until the situation normalizes.
“Due to economic, logistical and other practical issues, we have decided in principle to suspend operations with Russia,” Panasonic said in a statement.
The Russian division of Panasonic explained that “ a decision was made to temporarily suspend the shipment of goods to the territory of Russia. However, Panasonic Rus continues to work, provide service and other support to our partners and customers in the region.”
The latest press release from the company’s head office also states: “We at Panasonic Group are very concerned about the current situation in Ukraine and would like to express our deepest condolences to all those affected. We hope that peace and security will return as soon as possible. “
The Panasonic team will monitor developments and provide humanitarian assistance as needed. In particular, the company will donate about 20 million yen ($170,000) to the Polish Red Cross to help citizens evacuated from Ukraine. The donation will also go to the NGO Peace Winds Japan.
