American company-single Palantir, specializing in the field of data analytics and artificial intelligence, continues to deepen its presence in the space sector. It announced a strategic collaboration with the company Voyager Space to explore the potential of artificial intelligence and machine learning in space exploration. The purpose of cooperation is the development project Starlab.
«This alliance represents a desire to expand the boundaries of the possibilities of global trade, civil and national security, and also confirms the decisive role that industry must play in the introduction of cutting-edge technologies into the evolving landscape of space exploration and security», — Shyam Sankar, technical director Palantir.
According to the signed memorandum, Palantir and Voyager will together explore ways to apply peripheral computing and artificial intelligence in the early stage development of Starlab. This will allow expanding awareness in the space sphere and provide opportunities for safe processing and dissemination of data to partner countries.
This is not Palantir’s first experience in the space sector. The company already has several partnerships with the United States Air Force and the Space Corps, within which it provides data to enhance national security.
Palantir also pleases its investors. After the publication of financial results for the fourth quarter of 2024, shares of the company $PLTR increased by 50%. At the end of the week they traded at $24.51 per share, an increase of approximately 4% per day.
