. According to the information, people were cheated in the name of booking scooters online. The fraudsters had created a fake website for booking scooters. Here Rs 499 was taken online for booking from customers. Later he was asked to transfer money for transportation and vehicle insurance. After taking money from common people, the fraudsters used to tell that there would be a delay in the delivery of the scooter and thus used to fool them. On Monday, the police arrested 20 people in this case. Of these, 11 people were from Bihar, 4 were from Telangana, 3 were from Jharkhand and 2 were from Karnataka.

fraud came to light when a person lodged a complaint that he had lost ₹ 30,998 in the fraud. Subsequently, one of the suspects was traced to Bengaluru, which eventually led to the busting of the entire gang. Police also recovered 7 laptops, 38 smartphones, 25 basic phones, two hard disks, two smartwatches and 114 SIM cards from their possession.
