Following the Vivo X90, the top model of this line, the Vivo X90 Pro +, debuted. If in the first case we immediately talked about a single-chip system, then during the announcement of the X90 Pro +, attention was focused on the most important thing – the camera.
And no wonder: Vivo X90 Pro + may well be among the best camera phones according to DxOMark, for this it has everything you need. The main image sensor is a Sony IMX989 optical format 1 inch. It is complemented by Zeiss optics, consisting of eight elements (one of these elements is glass, while most smartphones use only plastic elements), as well as an optical image stabilization system. The lens aperture of the main module is F / 1.75.
No less remarkable is the periscope module with a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor. There is also optical stabilization, and the maximum zoom (hybrid – optical and digital together) is 100X. And he is able to work wonders, judging by the test pictures published below.
For the first time ever, the 50-megapixel Sony IMX758 sensor debuted in the X90 Pro+. Its optical format is 1/2.51 inch, the lens is portrait, with a focal length of 50 mm. And here, too, there is optical stabilization.
The only module that does not have OIS is with an ultra wide-angle lens and a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 sensor. The camera also has a laser autofocus assistant.
As in the base Vivo X90, the main single-chip system (in this case, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2) is complemented by Vivo’s proprietary V2 chip. In terms of memory, the Vivo X90 Pro + uses LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0. In order to ensure adequate cooling of both chips, Vivo has provided a huge cooling system with a vapor chamber consisting of two halves and with a total area of 8900 mm.2.
The first phone with a Samsung E6 screen was not Xiaomi 13, and even more so it will not be the Galaxy S23 – it was the Vivo X90 Pro +. The display is produced using LTPO 4.0 technology, the resolution is 2K, the peak brightness is 1800 cd / sq.m, the PWM frequency is 1440 Hz (and in terms of the latter parameter, the screen is inferior to the BOE display in Vivo X90). The screen diagonal is 6.78 inches. The front camera embedded in it is equipped with a 32-megapixel Samsung S5KGD2 sensor.
Vivo X90 Pro + received a 4700 mAh battery with support for 80 W wired charging and 50 W wireless. The thickness of the body of the device was 9.7 mm, weight – decent 221 grams. The configuration of the device, in addition to all of the above, includes an NFC chip, an IR emitter, stereo speakers, IP68 protection and Android 13 with the OriginOS 3 interface.
The most interesting thing is that the prices for such a device are quite low: the basic version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory is estimated at $ 910, the top version with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash memory costs $ 980. But these prices are for China, and in Europe the novelty will be noticeably more expensive.
