A new sidebar can be seen in WhatsApp’s Windows app in the shared screenshot. In this sidebar, the company provides tabs for chat list, status updates and settings. With this tab, users will not need a phone to view Call History. This new feature of WhatsApp is currently available in Windows Beta version 2.2246.4.0. Being a beta version, call history may not be synced between mobile devices and the desktop app immediately.
Profile photo of users will appear in group chat:
Another new feature is coming soon to WhatsApp’s desktop app. After this feature is launched, users will see their photo instead of name in group chat. According to WA BetaInfo, WhatsApp Desktop beta version 2.2245.3 users are getting this feature. With the help of this new feature, users can easily identify group members whose numbers are not saved in the contact list. The company may roll out the feature for Android as well after the desktop beta testing is complete.
