Aditya Reddy, President (Marketing and Sales) One-Moto says that the company is about to start production of commercial electric scooters for fleet and delivery. Apart from this, the company is also striving to provide better after sales service to its customers. For this, the company is opening service touchpoints in major cities of the country.
Aditya Reddy said that the company is getting good response from customers for its electric scooters. Last year, the company launched three electric scooters in India within 6 months. These scooters include Boyaca, Commuta and Electa. Based on the positive response received from customers, the company is also preparing to enter the electric four wheeler market.
At present, OneMoto has a production capacity of 2,500 units per month, which the company aims to increase to 1 lakh units by 2024. The company expects that the government’s support policies for electric vehicles will expand in the future, making it easier for customers to buy electric vehicles and increasing the demand in the market.
One-Moto is setting up a new plant in Telangana. The company is investing Rs 250 crore for setting up this plant. Robots along with modern machinery will also be used for production in this plant. The new production plant is spread over an area of 15 acres on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana.
One Moto is a British mobility company shaping and electrifying the last mile mobility sector. The company currently has 75 dealers across India and is headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana. Following the launch in India in November 2021, One Moto introduced three e-scooters, the Boyaca, Electa and Commuta, in the Indian market.
Talking about the One Moto Electa, this is the company’s third high-speed scooter. The scooter is powered by a 72V and 45A detachable lithium-ion battery that can be fully charged in just four hours. When fully charged, this electric scooter offers a maximum range of up to 150 km on a single charge. This electric scooter uses a 4KW QS brushless DC hub motor, which helps it achieve a top-speed of 100 kmph.
