Uganda has entered into an agreement with Kamaz regarding the construction of a plant for the production of trucks. They will be exported to the African market. We are also open to cooperation with Russian automakers, for example, we recently entered into an agreement with Kamaz to build a plant for the production of trucks in Uganda in order to sell them on the African market“, – said the ambassador.

As for electric vehicles, their production has just begun, but in the future the country plans to enter the international market.

We have just started, but one day we will export Ugandan electric vehicles to Russia“, – said Kisige. At the same time, neither the timing nor the technical characteristics of these electric vehicles have been reported yet. However, the ambassador said that Uganda plans to take care of nature, and therefore intends to produce electric vehicles.

In addition, according to him, there are other projects that affect Russia. Uganda plans to build a nuclear power plant, which was suspended due to COVID-19. There are also plans to extract oil, gas and uranium.

Earlier it was reported that AvtoVAZ can start SKD assembly of foreign cars.
