New Delhi. Xiaomi has unveiled its latest MIUI 14 skin along with its latest flagship phone at the ongoing MWC 2023 event. Along with the new Xiaomi 13 series, Xiaomi’s latest custom Android skin and the company has also confirmed the list of devices that will get the latest software update. While the flagship series includes three phones, the brand has just introduced the Xiaomi 13 Pro model in India and its price will be officially revealed on February 28. The latest features of MIUI 14 version get the ability to share your photos and cloud membership service with up to 9 people. All it takes is a family account to be able to share things with other people at high speeds. Custom Android skins now automatically compress apps that are not frequently used by users, and one can turn off notifications for them.
Will also notice a duplicate file merger feature, which will help you save storage space on your phone. The company is claiming that the new version is capable of better recognizing and extracting text from gallery images. Privacy-conscious users can rest easy as Xiaomi is claiming that it has improved privacy with end-to-end encryption of user data and local on-device data processing.
In terms of design, the MIUI 14 version brings customizable folders with larger icons and some new widget options now available in multiple sizes as well as shapes. There’s also a new Control Center toggle that lets Xiaomi users connect to other Xiaomi gadgets in an easier way. Some internal changes have also been made, including kernel-level customization of the way the CPU and GPU work.
Phones coming on MIUI 14
As per the details shared by the company, the phones that will get the MIUI 14 update in the first quarter of 2023 include Xiaomi 12T Pro, Xiaomi 12T, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i, Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12 Lite, Xiaomi 11T Pro, Xiaomi 11T, Mi 11, Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, Mi 11 Lite 5G and Mi 11 Lite. Some Redmi phones will also get the MIUI 14 update and one of them is the recently launched Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G phone. The list also includes Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 10 and Redmi 10 5G.
