Ola Electric, one of the big electric two-wheeler companies, will soon become the first company to manufacture four lakh electric scooters. Last year, the company had achieved the feat of manufacturing one lakh electric scooters within 10 months of its launch. It ranks first in this segment with about 40 percent share.
According to a media report, this year Ola Electric Sales have crossed 2.5 lakh units. According to the Vahan website, which maintains data of vehicle registrations across the country, sales of Ola Electric have increased by almost 130 percent compared to last year. The company had its highest monthly sales in November with nearly 30,000 units. Guidance Tamil Nadu, an agency that helps in investment in Tamil Nadu, has said that this year about 10 lakh electric vehicles have been sold in the country. Out of these, four lakh units have been manufactured in Tamil Nadu. In this list, Ola Electric is at first place with manufacturing of about 1.75 lakh units.
Recently Ola Electric started the delivery of the new S1 X+ electric scooter. company A discount of Rs 20,000 is being offered on this electric scooter. After this discount, the price of S1 X+ will be Rs 89,999. The actual price of this electric scooter is Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom). This discount is only available in December.
It is one of the most affordable electric scooters in this segment. It has a 3 kWh battery and its certified range is about 151 kilometers. The S1 X+ has a 6 kW motor. It can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 3.3 seconds. Its top speed is around 90 kmph. Ola Electric has also announced special offers for its community members. Its community members will be given 50 percent discount on extended warranty for all second generation electric scooters of the company. Apart from this, they will get cashback up to Rs 2,000 on every successful referral. In the first 10 months of this year, Ola Electric has grown by more than 100 percent. The company has also made preparations to launch an Initial Public Offer (IPO) soon.
