The new app lock feature will be installed once the Ola electric scooter software gets an OTA update. After which the feature of locking or unlocking the scooter and unlocking the seat will be available with the help of Ola Electric’s smartphone application (app). When the scooter is not in use, it can be locked or unlocked with the help of the application. If you do not go far away from the scooter and forget to lock it, then in this case the scooter can be locked through the application.
Will get new eco mode
Bhavish also revealed that his team is preparing to update a new Eco Mode in Ola electric scooters. He said that this eco mode will be better for city riding and will also increase the performance of the scooter. According to Bhavish, in the new Eco Mode, the scooter can be driven at a maximum speed of 45 kilometers per hour. At the same time, the range of the scooter in this mode will be up to 170 km.
Let us inform that after Hero Electric, Ola Electric has become the largest selling electric scooter company in the country. Last month, Ola Electric sold 9,127 units of scooters, while Hero Electric sold 13,023 units in the same month.
The Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters were launched on August 15 last year. These scooters have been made available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.30 lakh respectively. These prices are before the implementation of FAME-2 subsidy.
Both the Ola electric scooters are powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 3.9 kWh. Its electric motor generates peak power of 8.5 kW. The battery of Ola scooter can be fully charged in about 6 hours with a portable charger of 750W capacity. Apart from this, it gets charged up to 75 percent in just 18 minutes with the fast charger.
The Ola S1 gives a range of 121 kms on a full charge, while the high-end variant S1 Pro gives a range of 181 kms. Talking about the top speed of both the scooters, the Ola S1 can be driven at a top speed of 90 km/h while the Ola S1 Pro can be clocked at a top speed of 115 km/h.
