Ola Electric Sales December 2022: The demand for electric scooters is increasing in the country. Although there are many companies making electric scooters in the Indian market, but Ola Electric has made its own identity. Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has claimed to sell 1.50 lakh electric scooters in the year 2022.
So many e-scooters sold in December
Whereas in December 2022, the company has sold 17,279 e-scooters. Ola will also start manufacturing lithium-ion batteries at its Gigafactory by the end of this year. Apart from this, the company has recently revealed plans to start production of premium and budget range electric bikes and cars as well. The company is going to bring these vehicles between 2023 and 2026.
Let us tell you that Ola is currently selling three electric scooters – Ola S1, S1 Pro and S1 Air. Ola is all set to start deliveries of the S1 Air, the company’s most affordable scooter, from January 2023. Ola S1 Air price starts at Rs 84,999 (ex-showroom). At the same time, in 2024, the company plans to launch one motorcycle each in the budget and premium segments. This motorcycle can be cruiser, sports or commuter, any kind.
MoveOS 3 update rollout
Ola has started rolling out the MoveOS 3 update to its S1 electric scooters. The MoveOS 3 update adds new features such as call and message alerts, advanced regeneration mode, mood profiles, party mode, and hypercharging. Apart from this, new features like Hill Hold Assist, Widget, Document Storage, Vacation Mode, Hazard Light and Ride Report have also been given.
In the new update, attention has also been paid to the sound coming out of the scooter. Now Ola scooter will emit different sounds according to the mode while moving. Ola also claims that the new update has increased the acceleration of the scooter in sports mode and hyper mode. Ola MoveOS 3 can be downloaded via OTA update. The company’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal says that more than 90% of Ola scooters have been updated.
