Ola Electric Scooters: The past few months seem to be going great for Ola Electric, an electric two-wheeler maker. Ola has been number one in terms of sales of electric scooters in the month of October. The company sold 20 thousand units in a single month. Now Ola has achieved another milestone. The company has manufactured the 1,00,000th electric scooter in just 10 months’ time. This scooter has been released from the company’s women-run Futurefactory located in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu.
Ola Electric started mass production of its electric scooters in late November last year. The company was able to achieve this feat in just 10 months. Apart from this, the company has registered more than 60% monthly growth in the month of October. According to the company, at present every other scooter sold in the segment of more than Rs 1 lakh is Ola S1.
Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder & CEO, Ola Electric said, “Since beginning our journey towards electrification of India, we have opened doors for electric vehicles in the country by providing great products and experiences to our customers. This is just the beginning. The next 1 lakh scooters will come in even half the time.”

Ola Electric’s current portfolio includes the S1 Air, S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters. The cheapest electric scooter among them is Ola S1 Air, which was launched recently. Whereas since the launch of OLA S1 which came on August 15, the company has seen a huge jump in sales. This scooter has a 2.98kWh battery pack and its top speed is 90 kmph. The company claims that the Ola S1 can give a range of 141 km on a full charge.
