Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal told the media that this electric car will be launched in the premium segment, due to which its price can be up to Rs 50 lakh. He said that he will introduce this premium electric car to the whole world in the next few months. Bhavish had also told that apart from premium electric cars, Ola is also focusing on budget electric cars.
Bhavish had claimed that the Ola electric car would be capable of delivering a range of 500 km on a single charge. This range is more than most of the electric cars sold in India. He told that this electric car can catch the speed of 0 to 100 km / h in just 4 seconds. This is going to be an attractive sedan.
Ola Electric has given this electric car a coupe design. It gets a sloping roof which merges with the boot making a slope at the rear. Apart from this, the front look of the car is quite sharp and sporty. It gets LED headlight and tail light along with striped LED DRL light at the front, which connects both the headlights through an LED line. The headlight also gets ‘U’ shaped LED DRLs.
Pop-out door handles and transparent rooftop will also be given in this electric car from Ola. Ola Electric is planning to start production of cells for e-vehicles in India soon. A company official has revealed that Ola will be able to reduce the price of its electric vehicles by 25-30 per cent with the commencement of SAIL manufacturing in India. With this, the cost of battery packs used in electric vehicles can be reduced by 40 percent.
