The Bengaluru-based manufacturer has already revealed some of the features of its electric bike. The Oben Roor gets circular LED headlight, LED turn indicators, larger instrument cluster, split-style seats, two-piece pillion grabel and five-spoke alloy wheels.

Oben Electric has not yet disclosed the capacity of the battery and motor installed in this bike. However, the company has confirmed that the new RoR will be driven at a top speed of 100 kmph and will offer an IDC certified range of 200 kms on a single charge through its battery pack.

The new Roar electric motorcycle can be launched at an estimated price of Rs 1-1.5 lakh and will be available in a single variant at the time of launch. In India, Oben Rorr directly competes with Revolt RV400. The Revolt RV400 is powered by a 3.24 KWh lithium-ion battery that generates 72V of power and comes with a maximum range of 150 km on a single charge, giving it a top speed of 85 km/h.

Mr. Dinkar Agarwal, Co-Founder, Oben Electric, said, “We have raised a total of ₹2.5 million through the funding, which is the highest ever raised by an electric two-wheeler startup. This allows us to focus on consumer safety and happiness. We aim to enable Indian consumers to make the transition from ICE to EV. Over the next few years, we intend to become a global player with our niche products. Designed with standard testing, durability, safety and connectivity.”
