Some time ago, Nvidia introduced the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X memory, and now the company wants this version to completely replace the original and not be sold in parallel.
Resource MyDrivers reports that Nvidia and partners should gradually withdraw the original version from the market, replacing it with a new one. Moreover, the recommended price for a more productive version, at least in China, is exactly the same as for the original one (about $420).
At the same time, it is worth noting that, despite the announcement almost a month ago, it is almost impossible to find a new version in the US and Europe, that is, Nvidia is clearly in no hurry to implement its idea.
By the way, recently there were rumors that the RTX 4060 will be released only in the summer, that is, much later than its older cards, when compared with the RTX 30 line. Indirectly, the release of new versions of the RTX 3060 and their slow distribution may indicate that their replacement will indeed be released yet not soon.
