The price of CNG is also less than petrol. In such a situation, Honda cars have also not been able to keep themselves away from CNG. In fact, the company is offering CNG kits at its dealerships. Customers can get this kit installed in any Honda car. Honda’s portfolio includes City, Amaze and Elevate. The surprising thing is that the company is not providing a factory fitted CNG kit in it.
The cost of installing the kit is Rs 78,000
If you get this CNG kit installed in any Honda car from its dealership, then they will install it for you using some jugaad. Honda has not given any official statement on this. However, it can be seen in a video given below in the complete walkaround video from the dealership by Anubhav Chauhan. The Honda Amaze manual variant is equipped with Lovato’s CNG kit. Honda is giving a 1 year warranty on this kit. The cost of installing it is Rs 78,000. The three year warranty of the car will remain intact. This kit is also being installed in the City and Elevate. This kit can be installed in both manual and automatic variants.
60-litre CNG cylinder will be installed
Honda dealerships are installing this CNG kit from Lovato in existing Honda cars. Amaze has a 60-litre CNG tank and there is a CNG level indicator next to the USB port in the centre console. When a 60-litre CNG cylinder is installed, the boot space gets reduced. However, no information has been shared about how much the CNG kit will increase the mileage of the car. It is believed that by installing a CNG kit in a Honda car which has a 1.2-litre petrol engine, its mileage can go up to 25Km/l.
Honda got growth on yearly basis
Honda India has also released its sales figures for May 2024. In which the company has sold a total of 11,343 units. The company sold 5,247 cars in May 2023, which may seem like good figures for this year, but the reality is completely different. Out of the 11,343 cars sold in May this year, Honda Cars India exported more than 6,500 cars. Which also includes the Elevate SUV. Elevate is manufactured in India and sold in Japan as WR-V.
