Now Rs. MG Comet EV will start from Rs 6.99 lakh, new base variant of ZS EV launched

MG Motor India on Friday announced new prices for its 2024 range of car models to mark its 100th anniversary. Talking about electric models, a new base trim for the MG ZS EV starts at Rs 18.98 lakh (ex-showroom), while the price of the Comet EV has also been revised. Apart from this, prices of ICE models like Hector, Astor and Gloster have also been revised.

MG Motor has informed that the price for the base variant of MG Comet EV has now been reduced to Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Let us tell you that the company had launched this model in May last year at a price of Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Certainly, this price cut will further heat up the competition in the electric car market.

At the same time, MG ZS EV has got a new ‘Executive’ variant, which is priced at Rs 18.98 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes equipped with a 50.3kWh battery pack and the company claims that it gives a range of 461 km on a full charge.

MG Astor prices now start at Rs 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom), while the flagship Gloster SUV now comes at a starting price of Rs 37.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG Hector prices now start at Rs 14.94 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol variant and Rs 17.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel variant.

MG says that the price change has been possible due to several factors. Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, MG Motor India, said, “At MG, we are committed to keeping the customer at the center of our operations. As we continue our centenary celebrations, we look to ensure a rewarding ownership experience for all. “Excited to fast forward to 2024.”
