Not a day without racism: Google was sued for discrimination against blacks As well as a toxic work environment

The lawsuit, filed Friday, accuses Google of systematic racial bias against black employees, alleging that the search company puts them in lower positions, pays them less and denies them promotion opportunities because of their race.

According to the complaint, Google maintains a “racially biased corporate culture” that favors white males, with blacks making up just 4.4% of employees and about 3% of management and technology staff.

The plaintiff, April Kerley, also alleges that Alphabet Inc’s division exposes black employees to a toxic work environment, including frequently requiring them to show identification or undergo security questioning at the company’s Mountain View, California campus.
