‘No growth, no promotion and even discrimination…’ Infosys employee told the reason for leaving the job, post goes viral – pune techie quits infosys reasons viral on social media tstsd

Bhupendra Vishwakarma, an engineer from Pune, shared the reasons behind leaving his job through a LinkedIn post, which has now gone viral. Bhupendra highlighted the problems he experienced while working at Infosys, which highlights the concerns of many employees.

Bhupendra gave six main reasons for leaving the company, due to which he decided to leave the company, even though he had no other offer.

1. Lack of economic growth
Bhupendra told that despite continuous hard work and good performance for three years, he did not get financial increase. He said that from System Engineer he was made Senior System Engineer, but the salary was not increased. Then what kind of promotion was this, when there was no financial benefit from hard work, meaning no growth and no promotion.

2. Improper distribution of responsibilities
When his team shrank from 50 to 30 people, the remaining work was passed on to other employees. He wrote that neither new employees were recruited, nor any help was received. Instead, additional pressure was put on the existing team.

3. Career stability
Bhupendra was appointed to a loss-making project, which affected his salary increase and career opportunities. He writes that this situation was causing stagnation professionally. There was no hope of moving forward.

4. Bad office environment
He said that unrealistic expectations and repeated complaints on minor issues created a tense environment. There was no room left for personal well-being due to constant pressure.

5. Lack of identity
Even though he received appreciation from colleagues and seniors, its impact was neither reflected in promotion nor in salary increase. The hard work was taken advantage of, but respect and awards were not given.

6. Regional discrimination in office
Bhupendra claimed that the onsite opportunities were not based on merit but on linguistic preferences. He said that Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam speaking employees were given preference, while Hindi speaking employees were ignored.

Bhupendra said – this is the problem of thousands of employees
Bhupendra said that these problems are not mine alone. These reflect the experiences of thousands of employees who feel helpless due to these issues. I left the job for my mental peace and self-respect.

Bhupendra also said that the management should take honest steps to solve these problems. Employees are not resources, they are human beings. If such toxic practices continue, companies will not only lose their talent but also their reputation.

Debate broke out on social media
Bhupendra’s post has sparked debate on social media. Many users have shared their opinions. One user said that becoming a Senior System Engineer in Infosys is an automatic process, but the salary does not increase. You better switch. Another wrote that I do not agree to the client’s demand. Often they understand this by sharing the right perspective. The problem occurs when the project manager does not support the team.
