Nitin Gadkari launches Skye UTM, this air traffic management system will monitor 96,000 flights daily

New Delhi.
Nitin Gadkari Launched Skye UTM:
Whether it is land or sky, it is not easy to control traffic and many efforts are going on for this. Talking about the sky, now even drones fly in abundance and in such a situation it is not easy to monitor them. In such a situation, Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has now launched Skye UTM, the most state-of-the-art unmanned (unmanned) air traffic management system in the world. Sky UTM is capable of handling 4,000 flights every hour and 96,000 flights every day. Many new and innovative Automated Air Traffic Control features have been provided in this software including UTM Tunnel.

Features of Skye UTM
Let us tell you that India’s first and only drone aerial traffic management platform ‘SkyUTM’ is a cloud-based aerial traffic management system, which connects unmanned air traffic management system with manned aviation airspace. Sky UTM is designed to provide autonomous navigation, risk assessment, connectivity and traffic management to all drones and other aerial mobility operators in the airspace. Sky UTM also has a new feature called Sky Tunnel, which has not yet been completed by anyone else in the world. The Sky Tunnel establishes an air corridor and an invisible connect between two places. Physical devices are used to implement this flight plan to ensure that there are no blank spots and that the tunnel is fully connected. Drones and the upcoming flying taxis, which will be available in a year’s time, will come under its ambit.

Nitin Gadkari encouraged
On the occasion of Sky UTM launch, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari emphasized on implementing new technologies in construction, infra and highways sector. He told that it is time for Indian drone start-ups to lead the industry like software. Drone is the future technology and its potential is beyond imagination. Drones make activities extremely efficient and cost-effective. Drones are being used in all sectors ranging from construction, agriculture, healthcare, defence, infrastructure, surveying, real estate and transportation. Drone companies will also monitor highways and road construction. There is a lot of research happening that will certainly help to expand its use, and we wish Sky Air the best of luck in taking this futuristic technology even further.

Equipped with game changer technologies
Talking about the needs of Air Traffic Management System and its USP, Ankit Kumar, CEO, Sky Air, said that pilots interacting with Air Traffic Controllers take some time to react to any given situation, which has made traditional aviation and The possibility of error in traffic management increases. UTM is a game changer in this regard, as digitally communicating with the drone and connecting the traffic in the airspace makes the communication happen in less than a second and is foolproof. The biggest USP of Sky UTM is that it is a fully digital unmanned traffic management platform that directly communicates with all the drones flying in the sky.
