New mid-size SUV

Nissan will launch a new mid-size SUV in our market by 2025. The new model will be based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-B modular platform. Not just the platform, this mid-size SUV will also share some interior bits and body panels with the new-generation Duster. The new model is likely to be offered with a hybrid or mild-hybrid petrol engine. This SUV will be built with the next generation Duster at Alliance’s Chennai-based plant, as well as it will be exported. The new model will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, MG Astor and others in its segment.

New 7-seater SUV

Renault will introduce a 7-seater version of the Duster SUV, which will be designed and developed on the Alliance’s CMF-B modular platform. This SUV will be inspired by the Dacia Bigster concept. Similarly, Nissan will also launch a new 2025-seater SUV in the country by 26-7. It is also expected to get strong hybrid petrol and mild hybrid engines.

The MPV will be equipped with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder NA petrol engine with manual and AMT gearbox options. It can also get the option of a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine with manual and CVT automatic.
