In 2017, the Larva Labs team launched the CryptoPunks collection of 10,000 24×24 pixel NFT images. Initially, many of the project’s non-fungible tokens were distributed for free.
The hooded punk monkey sold recently is one of 24 punk monkeys and the 38th “rarest of 10,000” created in 2017 by Larva Labs. It last traded for 150 ETH, equivalent to almost $71,400, in November 2020.
