New Yamaha R3 launched in India with attractive design, know price and features

Before the New Year, popular two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha has launched the much awaited Yamaha R3 bike in India. The ex-showroom price of this new Yamaha R3 bike has been kept at Rs 4.65 lakh.

Yamaha R3 bike will compete with Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC 390 and Aprilia RS 457. The company will sell Yamaha R3 bike through the Complete Built Unit (CBU) route.

Let us tell you that YZF-R3 was earlier sold in India, but it was discontinued due to change in emission norms. Talking about the design of Yamaha R3, the company has developed this bike on a diamond type tubular frame.

Yamaha YZF-R3 is a full faired racing bike. Apart from this, in terms of design, the YZF-R3 looks quite similar to the R15. It has a long windscreen, LED headlight, full fairing and muscular fuel tank.

In this the rider gets down riding position. Talking about the engine of Yamaha R3, it has a 321cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, which generates power of 42 hp and peak torque of 29.5 Nm.

The engine is tuned with a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle has a 14-litre fuel tank. The Yamaha R3 gets all-LED lighting, LCD instrument cluster and some cosmetic changes.

This bike has USD front upside-down forks and a mono-shock suspension unit at the rear for comfort riding. For braking, Yamaha R3 gets disc brakes on both wheels with dual channel ABS. The weight of R3 is 169 kg.

Overall, Yamaha R3 seems to be a better bike than KTM RC 390 at its current price. This bike is also being seen as a rival to Aprilia RS 457.

Let us tell you that this bike has recently been launched at Rs 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom). You know that the Yamaha RX100 bike needs no introduction in India.

This is a model that laid a strong foundation for Yamaha in India. Even today the Yamaha RX100 bike has a huge young fan base. However, the production of RX100 bikes, which were sold till 2003, has been stopped.
