Volkswagen Gol SUV India Launch: The sub-4 meter compact SUV is selling well in the Indian market and Volkswagen is also going to introduce its new product in this segment, which can be named Volkswagen Goal. Placed below Volkswagen’s edgy compact SUV, the Tigun, the Volkswagen Gol will compete with the best-selling Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Tata Nexon in the sub-compact SUV segment as well as other SUVs including the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonnet. The company can launch Volkswagen Goal in the price range of up to Rs 10 lakh.
Look and Features
Talking about the look and features of Volkswagen Gol, according to media reports, it will get many exterior features including full LED headlights, vertical foglaps, powerful bumper setup, plastic cladding. The SUV gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play support, 6 airbags, ESC, traction control, automatic emergency along with many more standard features including automatic AC, wireless charging, cruise control, rear parking sensors. More safety features including braking can be seen.
If media reports are to be believed, the Volkswagen Gol will be developed on the MQB AO platform. On this platform, the company has introduced cars like Polo and Vertus. The Volkswagen Gol will be powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that will generate 116 bhp and 165 Nm of torque along with 128 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. This SUV will be offered in manual as well as automatic transmission options.
