The feature list of the Maybach S-Class is quite different from the regular Mercedes-Class. It gets a model-specific grille design, alloy wheels, taillamps and Mercedes-Maybach badging on the C-pillar. There is a difference in the wheel design of both the S580 and S680 models. Dual-tone exterior color options are available in the S680.

To make the interior premium, exclusive Nappa leather upholstery and several Mercedes-Maybach logos and badges have been given. It has a digital driver display with Maybach specific interface. Like the standard S-Class, the 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system is positioned vertically on the central console. Its rear seat comes with recline function which can be adjusted up to 43.5 degree angle for better comfort. The MBUX tablet is placed between the center console/armrest of the rear seat to control the cabin ambience and the rear entertainment package. For 4D audio experience, it has a 30 speaker Burmster sound system.

Its rear doors are powered which can be closed by the driver and the rear passenger can close it with jester control. Wooden interior trim has been given in Maybach S680 which makes it different from S580.

The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class gets a host of tech-laden features including 360-degree camera with advanced parking assist, active ambient lighting (with 235LED) and massage function. As a comfort package, some preset settings have been given for light, climate, sound and massage.

It also gets Level 2 Advanced Driver Assist System, under which it gets features like Evasive Steering Assist, Active Brake Assist with Cross Traffic Detection, Active Steering Assist, Emergency Stop Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control. A total of 13 airbags have been provided for safety in Maybach S-Class.

The Mercedes-Maybach S680 is out of stock till 2023 and there are speculations that the delivery of the locally assembled S580 may also have a long wait. Mercedes-Maybach fills the gap between the standard S-Class and the more expensive Rolls-Royce.
