Mazda has opened pre-orders for upgraded versions of the Mazda3 platform hatchback and CX-30 crossover in Japan. The cars received an updated filling and finishing materials, but did not change outwardly.
Mazda3 is offered in Japan in four engine versions: Skyactiv-G 1.5, e-Skyactiv G 2.0, Skyactiv-D 1.8 and e-Skyactiv X. The Mazda CX-30 crossover has three versions: e-Skyactiv G 2.0, Skyactiv-D 1.8 and e-Skyactiv X.
The main innovation was the introduction of the M Hybrid system based on the 2.0-liter 157-horsepower Skyactiv-G PE-VPS petrol engine. This system, working according to the “mild” hybrid scheme, regenerates braking energy and assists the internal combustion engine during start-up and acceleration. According to the manufacturer, this reduces fuel consumption. The power reserve from each liter of gasoline grows by about 600 m, while noise and vibration from the internal combustion engine are reduced.
The top versions of the Mazda3 and CX-30 have improved finishing materials, a frameless auto-dimming interior mirror and optional upholstery in expensive genuine leather.
The updated Mazda3 costs in Japan from 1 to 1.7 million rubles in terms of our money, and the CX-30 costs from 1.1 to 1.77 million rubles.
