New Maruti Suzuki Alto will be launched in India on August 18, know what will be new

The company’s third generation Alto is to be built on Maruti’s modular Heartect platform, on which many of the company’s models have been built. From the S Presso, Celerio and WagonR to the Ertiga and XL6, the Heartect platform has been prepared. This car of the company is being brought on this new platform to mold new features and rules.

Talking about the engine, this hatchback is to be brought in two engine options, it will be given 796 cc petrol engine and K10C 1.0-litre DualJet engine, which is given in Maruti S-Presso. While the first engine provides 48 hp and 69 Newton meters of torque, the second engine provides 67 hp of power and 89 Newton meters of torque.

Along with this, Alto is to be brought in CNG avatar. Talking about its new design, it will come with sharp styling. The new Alto will get sloping headlamps, stylish fog lamp enclosure and a mesh grille in the front bumper. The doors will be slightly bigger and the overall length of the car may see an increase.

The wheel size is expected to remain the same for all the variants at 13-inches. The design of the tailgate will be a bit more straightforward and the tail-lamp shape will be similar to that seen on the Celerio. Talking about the interior, a new dashboard can be given in it, it will be given touchscreen, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, power windows etc.

Now the starting price of Alto has gone up to Rs 3.39 lakh, while if you want to buy in CNG variant then you will have to pay Rs 5.03 lakh for it.
