Maruti Alto K10 CNG: The new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has been introduced at a starting price of Rs 3.99 lakh. The model lineup comes in 6 variants (4 manual and 2 AMT) and 6 exterior paint options. The hatchback is powered by a 1.0L DualJet, Dual VVT petrol engine, which generates 67bhp power and 89Nm of torque. It also gets a start/stop system. Maruti Suzuki claims that it can give mileage of 24.39kmpl (MT) and 24.90kmpl (AT). One question people may have in mind here is whether the company will also launch a CNG version of the Alto K10? The answer is that the company can do this, a new version of Maruti Alto K10 CNG can be brought.
The CNG model of this hatchback will be similar to the Celerio CNG, which comes with a 1.0-litre petrol engine, which is mated to a factory-fitted CNG kit. On CNG, this engine generates 57bhp maximum power and 82Nm peak torque. The carmaker claims that the Celerio CNG gives a fuel efficiency of 35.60 km/kg. In such a situation, the power and mileage figures are likely to be the same in the new Maruti Alto K10 CNG. The mileage of Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 CNG will be more than that of Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Petrol.
Talking about the 2022 Maruti Alto K10, the hatchback gets significant changes inside and out. It gets a more upright dashboard and sporty all-black interior theme. You get a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. The side AC vents, steering wheel, interior door handles and control stock have been taken over from the new Celerio.
It is worth noting that after the new generation Alto, the Indo-Japanese automaker will now roll out its much-awaited Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV. In the mid-size SUV space, it has been launched to take on the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and the recently launched Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider.
The Grand Vitara, which has been developed under a joint venture between Suzuki and Toyota, shares its platform, features, components and powertrain with the Toyota Hyrider. However, both the models look different. The new Maruti SUV will be launched in the market next month (ie September 2022).
