The head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, in an interview with Izvestia, said that the concern had already developed a new work strategy and would be able to present its new models after the strategy was approved at the next board of directors in September.
“The concern’s new strategy has already been formed and will be proposed for consideration at the next board of directors in September this year. After the approval of these strategic plans, it will be possible to present specific models, volumes and years of their release,” said Maxim Sokolov.
Maxim Sokolov added that AvtoVAZ still has the previous joint developments with the former French shareholders from Renault, as well as its own platforms, which can be finalized as soon as possible.
The shareholders of AvtoVAZ after Renault left Russia this year were FSUE NAMI (67.7%) and the state corporation Rostec (32.3%).
Sokolov also stated that AvtoVAZ plans to arrange deliveries to countries in Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia.
