The new special-edition model of the popular Jeep SUV gets some new and exclusive features, which make the car even more unique. Talking about the price, Jeep India has launched this special edition in the market at a price of Rs 24.44 lakh (ex-showroom).
It gets styling updates on the exterior and interior. The engine and other internal components are largely carried over from the standard model. One of the distinctive features of the Jeep Compass 5th Anniversary Edition is a new ‘5th Anniversary’ logo, which is the hallmark of this special edition.
Packed with advanced safety and technology features, the Jeep Compass offers commemorative ‘5th anniversary badging with satin granite crystal lower fascia, body-coloured cladding, accent color roof rails, 18-inch granite crystal finish alloy wheels and other elements.
The approach could be similar to what Jeep has used in the past for its other special edition SUVs. For instance, the Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition which was launched earlier this year in April, got the gloss black treatment on various parts like grille, fog lamp housing, roof rails, alloy wheels, ORVMs etc.
Other features include 18-inch alloy wheels with granite crystal finish, 5th anniversary badging, leather seats with light tungsten accent stitching, automatic dim rearview interior mirrors, piano black and anodized gun metal interior accents, black headliner. .
Apart from this, the special edition also gets neutral gray accent badging and exterior mirrors with neutral gray accent badging and new gloss black grille with neutral gray ring, body color/satin granite crystal lower front fascia with body color fender flares and black daylight opening molding , body colored seal molding and cladding.
Accent color roof rails have also been given in this car. Talking about the engine, the Jeep Compass 5th Anniversary Edition is offered with two engine options. It gets 1.4-litre MultiAir petrol engine (7 speed DDCT AT) and 2.0-litre Multijet diesel (6 speed MT) in 4X2 configuration.
Apart from this, the 2.0-litre Multijet diesel (9 speed AT) also gets a top-of-the-line 4X4 configuration with Selk-Terrain. The petrol engine makes 163 bhp power and 250 Nm torque, while the same diesel engine makes 170 bhp power and 350 Nm torque.
