Representatives of MediaTek quite officially announced that they will present Wi-Fi 7 at the beginning of next year as part of CES 2022. At the same time, the public will even be shown working versions of equipment with support for the new standard.
The next generation of wireless connectivity is expected to achieve speeds 2.4 times faster than Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E. Another qualitative improvement of the novelty from its predecessors should be the reduction of the minimum signal delay.
In theory, the latter should make the interference even less noticeable and improve the quality of the connection of devices within the same network, despite their number.
MediaTek also named the timing of the appearance of the first mass products with support for Wi-Fi 7. According to the company, this should happen in the second half of 2022, or at the beginning of 2023.
