BMW has unveiled the updated BMW 8 Series, which will start production in March 2022. BMW 8 series Coupe in Russia will cost from 8 million 330 thousand rubles, BMW 8 series Cabrio – from 9 million 270 thousand rubles, BMW 8 series Gran Coupe – from 8 million rubles. The updated BMW M8 Coupe costs from 12 million 320 thousand rubles, BMW M8 Cabrio – from 13 million 300 thousand rubles, BMW M8 Gran Coupe – from 11 million 730 thousand rubles.
A design feature of all updated BMW 8 Series is the branded grille with BMW Iconic Glow illumination, which is included in the list of standard equipment. It is activated both automatically at the time of opening the car, and manually at the request of the owner. The interior of the BMW grille has been redesigned with a U-shaped louvre profile, while the grilles of the M Performance models are adorned with the BMW M logo.
The exterior of the facelifted BMW 8 Series can be optionally equipped with 20-inch light alloy wheels in new M and BMW Individual design variants in combination with mixed tyres. 20-inch M wheels are standard on all updated models in the BMW M8 range.
The cars received a digital instrument panel in combination with an enlarged 12.3-inch central display. In addition to multimedia capabilities, the BMW Live Cockpit Professional includes the BMW Maps navigation system, the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, the BMW Head-Up Display and wireless smartphone connectivity. The M Sport package is included as standard on all facelifted BMW 8 Series models. In the M Performance models, the interior design is complemented by seat belts with accents in BMW M brand colours.
The 3.0l BMW TwinPower Turbo in-line 6-cylinder petrol engine in the BMW 840i ??xDrive Coupe, BMW 840i xDrive Convertible and BMW 840i xDrive Gran Coupe develops 340 hp. The BMW 840d xDrive Coupe and BMW 840d xDrive Gran Coupe versions are equipped with a 320 hp diesel engine. The top models of the BMW M850ixDrive Coupe, BMW M850i xDrive Cabrio and BMW M850i xDrive Gran Coupe are equipped with a 4.4-liter V8 engine with 530 hp. The updated BMW M850i xDrive Coupe spends 3.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.
The BMW M8 Coupe, BMW M8 Cabrio and BMW M8 Gran Coupe contain racing technology. In the Competition version, a 4.4-litre V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology develops 625 hp. and maximum torque of 750 Nm. Acceleration to 100 km / h takes just 3.2 seconds.
