After launch, this motorcycle replaced the KTM 890 Duke in the year 2021. Talking about the changes, the 2022 KTM 790 Duke model looks much the same as before. In the first generation of this bike, the company had given a lot of features and most of the features are still given on this bike.
Apart from this, there has been no major update in terms of styling except for the new grey-black color option. This color option is in addition to the signature orange color theme. The special thing is that the sporty profile of this motorcycle has been retained.
Talking about the design, it gets aggressive LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, sculpted fuel tank, low-set handlebar, step-up seat, seat exhaust in stainless steel finish and compact tail section features. Its exhaust delivers an attractive throttle note, which enhances the overall riding experience.
Apart from this, the 2022 KTM 790 Duke has been given a full color TFT instrument console, which provides a variety of information. The screen of its instrument console is highly interactive, as it changes color with increase/decrease in throttle and other similar actions.
The display automatically adjusts to the ambient lighting. Most of the features on offer have been kept as before, including stability control with electronic riding aids, traction control, engine drag torque control, Supermoto mode and cornering ABS.
Driving modes like Sport, Street, Rain and Track are also provided in the bike. Let us tell you that some features are being given optional with the 2022 KTM 790 Duke, which include cruise control, tire pressure monitoring system, quickshifter+, track mode, engine slip control and phone and music connectivity.
There has been no change in the engine of the new 2022 KTM 790 Duke, it has been installed with the same 799cc engine as before. This engine comes mated to an LC8c in-line, 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled system and churns out maximum power of 105 bhp and peak torque of 87 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
