Mukesh told that when he asked for the script of the film, he did not get it. The casting of this film was done by actress-director Madhur Jaffrey. Madhur married actor Saeed in the year 1960. Mukesh said- Once a Hollywood film came to me, the name was ‘Krishna’. We had a very famous casting director, Madhur Jaffrey. She used to cast Indian actors here for Hollywood films. She was the wife of Saeed Jafri. I got a call saying, ‘Mukesh, we are making Krishna, can you send me your profile?’ I said, very good, but Madhur ji, what am I doing in this film? I thought it might have something to do with ‘Mahabharata’, because the name of the film was ‘Krishna’.
“But when I asked for the script, Madhur Jaffrey became strange. She said – No, no, you send me your profile. We were talking on the phone when I asked her about the story. She got irritated. Then Saeed Saheb came on the call and said that she is not asking for your photo and profile. I was also stubborn that I am not asking for land from him, I am asking for the script.
That film was lost from Mukesh Khanna. The actor said- He said that he is also talking to Shashi Kapoor ji and then he will send me the script.
