MSI has expanded its line of gaming laptops by releasing a new model called Titan 18 Pro (2024). The flagship device based on the Intel Core i9 processor has acquired a powerful RTX 40 series graphics card, a high-resolution mini-LED screen and a set of modern AI functions.
The MSI Titan 18 Pro (2024) features an 18-inch display with a resolution of 3840×2400 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The basis of the laptop is the Intel Core i9-14900HX processor in conjunction with a discrete graphics card GeForce RTX 4080 or RTX 4090, depending on the configuration.
The new product comes with a 2 TB SSD drive (PCIe 4.0) and a maximum amount of RAM of 64 GB. At the same time, the user can independently “pump up” it up to 192 GB – there are four SO-DIMM slots on the laptop’s motherboard.
According to the company, the power consumption of the Titan 18 Pro in ULTRA mode reaches 250 W, of which up to 175 W is allocated to the GPU. A cooling system consisting of two fans and six heat pipes is responsible for removing heat from powerful hardware.
Among other characteristics of the laptop, the brand highlights a six-speaker speaker system and a webcam with face recognition. To connect peripherals, there are USB Type-A 3.2 Gen2, Thunderbolt 4, Ethernet, two HDMI ports, an SD card slot and a Wi-Fi 7 module (up to 5.8 Gbps). A battery with a capacity of 99.9 Wh is responsible for the autonomy of the device.
The range of AI capabilities includes system performance tuning and noise reduction, as well as creative tools such as MSI AI Artist for creating images based on text descriptions.
In China, the MSI Titan 18 Pro (2024) costs from $3,470 in a configuration with an RTX 4080, the RTX 4090 version will cost customers from $4,030.
