MSI has introduced a new gaming laptop, Blade Shadow (2024). The model acquired not only powerful hardware from Intel and NVIDIA, but also an “esports” screen, as well as a decent set of interfaces and a gaming keyboard with RGB backlighting.
The laptop is available in versions with a 16- or 17-inch IPS display (2560×1660 pixels, 240 Hz). In both cases, coverage of 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut is claimed. The hardware platform of the new product includes an Intel Core i7-14700HX processor and a discrete graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 or RTX 4070.
The design of the cooling system of the new product includes two fans and five heat pipes. A 65 Wh battery is responsible for the autonomy of the laptop; the power of the included power supply is 200 W. The list of characteristics is complemented by two built-in speakers, RGB backlit keys, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, HDMI 2.1, Ethernet and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
In China, the 16-inch version of the laptop with an RTX 4060 graphics card is priced at $1079, and the modification with an RTX 4070 costs $1315. In a configuration with a 17-inch matrix, the new product will cost customers $1204 and $1356, respectively.
