MSI has launched the Spatium M571 DLP SSD with a Phison E28 controller. In addition to impressive read and write speeds, this new drive boasts excellent reliability and data persistence during power failures.
The MSI Spatium M571 DLP with a PCIe 5.0 x4 interface is based on the Phison E28 controller and is available in three models. They have the same maximum linear read (14,500 MB/s) and write (11,000 MB/s) speeds, but differ in other specifications:
1 TB – 1 GB DRAM Cache, 1,300,000 IOPS (read), 700 TBW
2 TB – 2 GB DRAM Cache, 2,500,000 IOPS (read), 1,400 TBW
4TB – 4GB DRAM Cache, 2,600,000 IOPS (read), 2800 TBW
The drive is built using Kioxia memory chips (TLC 3D NAND). Support for Data Loss Protection (DLP) technology is advertised, protecting cache data in the event of a sudden power loss.
The new product is already available in Europe, priced at €360 and €685 for the 2 TB and 4 TB versions, respectively. The price of the 1 TB model has not yet been announced.
