New renders of Motorola’s upcoming foldable phones, the Motorola Razr and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, appeared online. The images were leaked by tipster Evan Blass on X (formerly Twitter: @evleaks). These photos show that the Razr 50 will feature a much larger cover screen than the previous year’s Motorola Razr 40. Blass shared multiple photos of both models. The renders reveal that the Razr 50 will have a very large cover screen, which is reported to be a 3.3-inch curved display. This is significantly bigger than the 1.5-inch external display on last year’s Razr 40. The specifications were leaked shortly before the photos, by a publication called Deal N Tech on the microblogging platform.
The Motorola Razr 50 is shown to have a dual-camera setup. The phone will reportedly have a large 6.9-inch pOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch selfie camera. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chip, along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage.
For photography, the Razr 50 is expected to come with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel secondary camera. The phone will run on Android 14 out-of-the-box and will be equipped with a 4,200mAh battery. The leaked dimensions are 171 mm in length, 74 mm in width, and 7.2 mm in thickness, with a weight of 188 grams.
The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, as shown in the leaked images, features an external display slightly larger than that of the Razr 50. The Razr 50 Ultra will come in three color options. According to earlier reports, the Razr 50 Ultra will also have a 6.9-inch pOLED inner screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage.
The Razr 50 Ultra’s camera system includes a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. The internal screen will house a 32-megapixel selfie camera in a hole-punch cutout. The phone is expected to have a 4,000mAh battery, which is slightly smaller than the battery in the Razr 50. Additionally, the Razr 50 Ultra will feature an IPX8 rating for water resistance.
The Motorola Razr 40 series was launched globally in June 2023 and became available in India a month later. Therefore, it is likely that more information about these new smartphones will be revealed in the coming days or weeks.
