New Ertiga with updated engine
The latest generation has been given in the 1.5-litre petrol engine of the Ertiga, which comes with Dual Jet and Dual VVT. However, the K15C engine still gets the mild-hybrid tech, but the power output has been reduced to 103PS and 137Nm. It will also get CNG option.

In the new Ertiga, customers will now get a 6-speed torque converter instead of the 4-speed automatic transmission. The paddle shifter will now be found behind its steering wheel. This feature has been given for the first time in any Maruti model. Its automatic option has been updated to compete with the Kia Carens. Customers will get a 5-speed manual transmission as standard as before.
New Ertiga launched with new variant
Now customers will get two new variants in the Ertiga facelift. Automatic option will be available in its Zxi Plus trim. At the same time, the option of CNG will be available in the Zxi trim. Please note that earlier the option of CNG is available only in the Vxi trim.
New Ertiga will get more mileage
The new Ertiga gets more mileage than the old Ertiga. The new Ertiga is getting mileage of 20.51 kmpl in manual transmission and 20.3 kmpl in automatic transmission. Whereas, the old Ertiga gave a mileage of 19.01 kmpl in manual transmission and 17.99 kmpl in automatic transmission.
The new Ertiga becomes even more secure than before
Maruti Suzuki is continuously increasing the airbags in its lineup. This is the reason why the company has given 4 airbags (dual front and side) in its 2022 Ertiga. It will also get hill hold assist and electronic stability control. Talking about the standard safety kit, it gets the same dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS and ISOFIX in the second row seats.

Talking about the look, at first glance it is difficult to tell the difference between the old Ertiga and the new Ertiga. However, total visual changes have been made. These include new grille with winched chrome details, new alloy wheel design, chrome strip on the bonnet just below the rear windscreen.
What changed in the interior?
The cabin of the new Ertiga remains the same. Just in this you have now been given a new metallic teak wood finish and dual tone seat fabric instead of faux wood finish.

In the new Maruti Ertiga, customers will now get cruise control, automatic headlamps, driver side auto window up with anti-pinch, ORVMs controlled through key fob. It has the same 7-inch touchscreen central display unit as before, which gets the new SmartPlay Pro infotainment system.
