In Japan, a new generation of Lexus LM minivans lit up on public roads. The car has become larger than its predecessor, and the equipment has become even more luxurious.
In general, the Lexus LM debuted in China at the recently concluded Shanghai Motor Show, but in its homeland, the new generation minivan lit up for the first time – and long before the start of sales scheduled for autumn.
Lexus LM not only changed a little in appearance (there are new headlights and lanterns, for example), but also added in size: the length increased by 85 mm (up to 5125 mm), width – by 40 mm (up to 1890 mm), height – by 10 mm (up to 1955 mm). Interestingly, while the wheelbase has not changed and is still 3000 mm. But more should be the trunk.
The Lexus LM is now exclusively a hybrid (at least in Japan). Moreover, there are two systems, and they are different. The first is with a 2.4-liter turbo engine at the front and an electric motor at the rear axle. The second – with a 2.5-liter atmospheric engine and two electric motors.
The car will have a luxurious version designed for four people. Behind in this version there are only two separate seats, and in front of them is a 48-inch screen of the media system.
The official premiere of the new Lexus LM in Japan is expected in June, but there are already estimated prices: the seven-seat version is about $170,000, the four-seat version is $212,000.
