Privatisation in 8 Years: Privatization of banks, airline and insurance companies has been done since 2014 after the NDA government came to Satta. In the eight years since 2014, the government has collected a huge fund of more than 4 lakh crores through disinvestment and privatization. In the information given in this regard from the Ministry, it is said that the maximum amount of Rs 1.07 lakh crore has been raised in 59 cases through the sale offer (OFS).
45,104 crores from share boyback in 45 cases
After this, a total of Rs 98,949 crore has been raised in 10 installments through the company Exchange Traded Fund (ETF). Government treasury received Rs 69,412 crore from strategic sales of 10 companies including Air India during eight years. Also in 45 cases, share boyback received Rs 45,104 crore.
Most money from LIC’s IPO
From the year 2014-15, 17 CPSE ( CPSE ) L is ted which is Rs 50,386 crore. The government received the most money from LIC’s IPO ( IPO ) to Rs 20,516 crore. Apart from this, there was an additional market cap of 7.31 lakh crore in eight years through new listing.
The government collected funds of 472 crores, 219 crores and 8847 crores by selling Residual stake in Paradip Phosphate, IPCL and Tata Communication. With this, a total amount of 9538 crores was raised.
