Modern school: Moscow wants to introduce electric scooter lessons

Evgeny Loginovsky, deputy head of the Moscow traffic police department, said that Moscow could become the first city in Russia to introduce electric scooter lessons in schools.

“Why not? Of course, we are all for it. <…> Moreover, we are ready to provide any methodological and practical assistance in promoting this issue,” said Evgeny Loginovsky.

Earlier, the initiative to introduce teaching children to ride electric scooters into the school curriculum was earlier made by the head of the scientific center for road safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, police colonel Dmitry Mitroshin. In particular, he noted that time for driving lessons would have to be allocated at the expense of other subjects, so such issues should be resolved at the national level.

In addition, the head of the Scientific Center for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated the need to adopt GOST in the country for means of individual mobility, including electric scooters, in order to simplify the introduction of changes into the Rules of the Road in terms of their operation.
