The Yandex Travel service has launched a mobile application for searching for air tickets and booking hotels around the world. It may well become an alternative to the previously popular Booking and Airbnb, which left the Russian market last year. By the way, according to experts, the share of Booking in Russia accounted for up to 70% of the market.
When searching for hotels on Yandex Travel, users can sort them by eight filters (rating, location, number of stars, food availability, etc.), they can also search for options with free cancellation. Together with the price, the application will immediately show the size of the cashback: for Yandex Plus subscription holders, 10% cashback for booking will be available, it can also be used in other Yandex services. After booking a hotel in the “Trips” tab, information about the trip will be available, as well as weather forecast and recommendations from “Yandex Afisha”.
When searching for air tickets on Yandex Travel, you can specify the desired time of departure and arrival, select the airline and airport, as well as the number of transfers. The app is available for smartphones running iOS and Android. Now it has more than a million hotel rooms available with photos and user reviews.
