Mid-Size SUV: There will be a stir in the mid-size SUV segment, two new cars are coming to compete with Hyundai Creta.

Hyundai Creta (Hyundai Creta) has been dominating the mid-size SUV segment since its arrival in the Indian market. Currently, this SUV is facing tough competition from cars like Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun. But soon the challenges of Creta are going to increase. Because in the coming months, two new models will be launched in this segment – Honda Elevate (Honda Elevate) and Citroen C3 Aircross (Citroen C3 Aircross). While the Elevate SUV will make its global debut on June 6 and its market launch is expected by August, the C3 Aircross will go on sale during the festive season of 2023. Know the details of these two upcoming SUVs.

Honda Elevate

Honda’s upcoming mid-size SUV Elevate (Elevate) has been designed on the platform of Honda City. The Honda Elevate will compete with the Hyundai Creta. Recently, the carmaker revealed it while partially confirming some of its design features including the sunroof. The Honda Elevate will measure around 4.3 meters in length, and could be offered with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The petrol unit generates peak power of 121 bhp and torque of 145 Nm.

The SUV is likely to be introduced with the hybrid powertrain of the City at a later stage. As per the report, the price of the Honda Elevate SUV is expected to be around Rs 11 lakh for the entry-level variant and go up to Rs 17 lakh for the top-end variant.

Citroën C3 Aircross

The French automaker claims that the Citroen C3 Aircross has 90 percent localisation, so it is expected to be priced quite competitively. The SUV uses the brand’s CMP modular platform. The SUV shares most of its design elements, features and powertrain with the C3 hatchback. The C3 Aircross gets a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This engine-gearbox combination generates 110 Bhp of max power and 190 Nm of peak torque.

Reports suggest that the carmaker will bring in the electric version at a later stage. According to the report, the price of C3 Aicross SUV is likely to start from Rs 9 lakh and go up to Rs 15 lakh.
