Microsoft has blocked the program to bypass the mandatory use of the proprietary browser Edge

Microsoft is forcing Windows 10 and Windows 11 users to use the Edge browser and its Bing search engine in the Start menu, and now in the new widget bar in Windows 11. Thus, the system ignores the default browser setting. EdgeDeflector allows you to bypass these limitations.

Now Microsoft has confirmed that it has blocked the program. This will affect all Windows 11 users in the coming weeks. The EdgeDeflector developer is unhappy with the situation. Microsoft did not explain its decision. Although many believe the reason is obvious. Recently, the Brave and Firefox browsers have either copied the functionality of EdgeDeflector or said it is part of their plans.
