MG’s new SUV becomes expensive, price hiked twice within a year of launch; Know what is the new price

MG Aster was officially launched in India on October 11, 2021. It was introduced at a starting price of Rs 9.78 lakh (ex-showroom). However, its price now starts at Rs 10.31 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry level style 1.5-litre manual gearbox. The top trim Savvy 1.3-litre turbo automatic has been priced at Rs 18.23 lakh (ex-showroom). Coming to the on-road price, the Aster will be available at an on-road price of Rs 21 lakh in Delhi-NCR.

In June this year, the company had increased the price of the Aster by Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 depending on the variant. MG Aster is made available in 11 variants in 5 trim. This SUV is available with a choice of 1.5-litre petrol and 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engines. The first engine produces 110 Bhp of power and 144 Nm of torque, while the second engine produces 140 Bhp of power and 220 Nm of torque. With both the engines, the option of 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox is made available.

MG Aster is the most modern SUV in its segment in terms of features. It is equipped with 80 connected car features in different variants. The SUV also offers Autonomous Level-2 technology, which is not yet available in any other car in the segment in the Indian market. It is an advanced automatic technology that automatically controls the car while driving.

The SUV also gets a Personal AI Assistant which is a small robot that is mounted on the dashboard inside the cabin. A small screen has been given in this robot which shows the expression of the robot.

It recognizes the driver through voice and works on voice commands. This AI system provides information and news from around the world based on voice commands, while also entertaining the people sitting inside the car.

MG Aster is not lagging behind in safety features as well. Aster gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), TCS (Traction Control System), HHC (Hill Hold Control), HDC (Hill Descent Control), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) went.
