MG Comet Price: MG Motor India has today revealed the variant and price of its second and country’s smallest electric car Comet EV. The Comet EV will be available in three trims – Pace, Play and Plush, priced at Rs 7.78 lakh, Rs 9.28 lakh and Rs 9.98 lakh respectively, all prices given are ex-showroom. MG Comet EV competes with Tata’s Tiago EV. Talking about the price of Tiago EV, the price of its base variant is available at Rs 8.69 lakh and the top-end variant is available at Rs 11.99 lakh ex-showroom price.
When will the delivery start?
MG has confirmed that the deliveries of the Comet electric car will start from 15 May 2023. The point to be noted here is that these prices of Comet are introductory prices only for 5,000 customers.
MG Comet Powertrain
Talking about the powertrain of MG Comet EV, a 17.3kWh battery pack has been given in it, while a single electric motor generating 42bhp power and 110Nm torque is included. Its battery pack is IP67-rated, so water and dust won’t be a problem. On the other hand, talking about the range of the Comet, according to the company’s claim, it is capable of running up to 230 km on a single charge. It gets a 3.3kW onboard charger which takes 7 hours to fully charge. MG has sourced the battery for the Comet EV from AutoComp.
MG Comet Dimensions
Talking about the dimensions of the MG Comet, it is very compact with a length of 2974 mm, width 1505 mm and height 1640 mm. Whereas the wheelbase of Comet is 2010mm. The company has loaded this small EV with a lot of features. However, the biggest attraction is its dual 10.25-inch screen. Along with this, wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play have also been given.

Talking about the features of MG Comet, keyless entry, more than 55 connected features, steering mounted controls, manual AC controls, three USB ports, one-touch tumble and fold feature in front passenger seat, 50:50 split rear seats, rotary drive selector , Tire pressure included. Along with this, monitoring system, ABS with EBD, reverse camera, dual front airbags and reverse sensor are available.
