MG Motors car sales jump 17% annually, Gloster and ZS EV get good response

Last month, MG Motor India sold a total of 3808 cars, which is an annual growth of 17.5%. In September 2021, the company sold 3,241 units. MG’s recently launched powerful SUV Gloster and electric SUV MG ZS EV are getting very good response.

MG recently increased the prices of its Hector, Hector Plus and Aster SUVs by up to Rs 28,000. The company has increased the prices of Hector’s petrol and diesel engine variants by Rs 20,000 to Rs 28,000. The Style and Shine trims have seen the highest price hike of up to Rs 28,000.

While the prices of the Smart trims have been increased by up to Rs 20,000. After which its starting price has gone up to Rs 14.43 lakh, ex-showroom instead of 14.15 lakh. At the same time, the price of its top variant has gone up to Rs 20.36 lakh.

The 6-seater price of Hector Plus has been increased by Rs 25,000 and the 7-seater version by up to Rs 28,000. Whereas, there has been no price hike for the 6-seater super diesel engine variant and the 7-seater style petrol manual variant. After which the starting price of Hector Plus will be Rs 18.90 lakh, ex-showroom. At the same time, the price of its top variant will be Rs 20.35 lakh.

While the variant line-up of Aster has increased the price of all the variants by Rs 10,000, there has been no increase in the prices of the Aster EX variant that was launched in July 2022. After which its starting price will be Rs 10.32 lakh, ex-showroom. At the same time, the price of its top variant will be Rs 18.13 lakh.
