MG Hector prices hiked, Shine trim re-entry

MG Hector: MG Motor introduced its updated Hector facelift earlier this year, whose price has been increased by the company for the first time. Which ranges from Rs 27,000 to Rs 61,000. Along with this, MG has also reintroduced the Shine trim variant for this car, which the company used to sell even before the facelift variant.

The company has introduced the Shine variant of the new MG Hector with three engine options, which are Petrol MT, Petrol CVT and Diesel MT. Whose price is Rs 16.34 lakh, Rs 17.54 lakh and Rs 18.59 lakh respectively. This new model of Hector has been introduced with only 5 seat option. Not with the Hector with three-row seating. However, the company will position this variant above its entry-level Style variant in the MG Hector lineup.

Features

Apart from the base trim, the MG Hector also gets features like cruise control, keyless entry with push button engine start/stop, drive mode select, automatic turn indicators, single-pane electric sunroof with wire connectivity. Features like 10.4 inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted audio controls, LED projector headlights, full LED tail lamps, reverse parking camera, electric parking brake have been given.

After the price hike, now the new price of MG Hector starts from Rs. 15 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 22.12 lakhs, ex-showroom. It is also important to mention that apart from the increase in the price of this car, no other changes have been made.

engine

MG in its car 2.0l diesel engine which gives power of 170PS and torque of 350NM and 1.5l turbo charged petrol engine which gives power of 143PS and peak torque of 250NM. The company has paired both these engines with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
