Mercedes-Benz on Friday introduced its new car ‘AMG E53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet’. Its price in the Indian market will start from Rs 1.3 crore. This car catches the speed of 0 to 100 km in just 4.5 seconds. The interior of this car of the company is quite luxurious. It gets leather upholstery on the steering wheel and seats. At the same time, the company has also given a head-up display in it. While it also gets Burmester’s surround sound system, widescreen cockpit, climatized front seats, and climate control option.
Mercedes-Benz sales up by 70%
The company’s CEO Santosh Iyer says that the company’s sales have increased tremendously in 2022. Mercedes-Benz India has sold over 3,500 cars in 2022 worth over Rs 1 crore. While its total sales record was 15,822 cars. And in 2021, the company sold 11,242 cars. Earlier, the company’s best sale was 15,583 cars in the year 2018. The sales growth in the company’s top class category has been around 70 percent.
In the top class category, Mercedes-Benz sells the S-Class Maybach, GLS Maybach, top-end AMG, S-Class and GLS SUVs. The cost of all these is more than Rs 1 crore.
Santosh Iyer said that in 2023 the company will introduce 10 new cars. Most of these will be in the top class category. This year the company will register double digit growth. The company’s Chakan plant has started working on 100 percent green energy by the end of last year. Whereas this year the company will become completely paperless. At the same time, by 2025, the entire network of the company will be green.
